Alarm wont stop after reconnecting alarm tdv6

Having a bit of a nightmare ! Disconnected battery to put new steering wheel on and i cant get the alram to stop sounding, tried the stuff in the handbook, car will start but alarm carries on blazing !

Have taken off battery put it on charge and will try again on sunday evening

Any ideas on the correct process ?

Never had that problem but there is a sticker next to the battery with pictograms telling you to unlock then wait ?5minutes for car to go to sleep then remove battery. You could try doing a hard reset before connecting battery. Just means connecting the battery leads to each other for a minute or so (use jump lead or a long spanner) then connect battery. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Paddi, thanks for that, turned out to be a bit simpler....one of the horn buttons had got jammed down when i had put the air bag back in !!!
