Northern Ireland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand
RRS HSE Test Drive

Hi

Decided its time to change my D4 so went along to the stealers and took a 2010 RRS HSE for a test drive, very impressed indeed!! Very interested and just need the stealers to come up with the right offer to tempt me into the deal, their initial offer for my D4 was a bit on the low side I think, they have only offered 19,500.
It's a 2009 TDV6 3.0 GS Zermatt Silver with 38,000 miles with full service history.

Appreciate any thoughts on the trade in price and any advise on the RRS.

Thanks

Jonnieh

Hi Daz,

Yes, managed to get more than they initially offered with some discount on tow bar and alloy wheel care. In the end managed to get it slightly below my set budget so all in all happy with the deal Thumbs Up 2010 RRS HSE TDV6 Ipanema Sand

Yeah well that's good!!

I like the d4 but they still expensive when comparing them to the d3 model.

How does the drive compare between the d4 and the sport?

They are both great to drive, I had a D3 prior to my D4 and the D3 was good to drive but the D4 is much better with the 3ltr engine, once I had taken a test drive I was hooked. The sport has the same engine so I don't think I will notice much difference there. On the road the D4 glides along but the Sport you tend to feel more of the bumps on the road. Probably more space in the D4 and with the two extra seats this comes in handy but I just like the way you feel cocooned inside the Sport.

I have loved every minute of owning the D4, taken every thing in its stride that I have thrown at it, from towing trailers, caravans and even a tractor but I just fancied trying the RRS Sport......lets hope it's the right decision!. 2010 RRS HSE TDV6 Ipanema Sand

Could I be cheeky and ask how much discount you were able to get on then sport?

I'm starting to look at similar models from 59 onwards. Interesting to know how much success with discounts people are managing on used?

Hi Sammy,

I managed to get 500 pound of the screen price, they gave me some discount on alloy wheel care and tow bar, plus I managed to get them to supply two new tyres, I was trying for four initially, so probably around 1000 in all. I think I could have probably got a little bit more but I didn't want to miss out as it is low miles, only 23,000 and I think there was a few people interested.

Good luck, hope you find one!!! 2010 RRS HSE TDV6 Ipanema Sand

Interesting that you got a few extras chucked in. Did you find it easier to get the extras chucked in rather than money off the Sport? I gather you purchased from a LR dealer?

I have seen some nice SE 59' starting around £27k upwards. I wonder how much haggle room there is! Laughing

Hi Sammy,

I think it was easier getting the few extras, they didn't want to move much on the price of the Sport, and yes I did buy from LR dealership, not one which I normally use, my preferred dealership didn't have anything in or didn't have anything due in.

I think they could afford not to move too much on the cost of the Sport because just over the weekend, of the Sports that they had, they have sold three of them, it was certainly busy in the showroom when I was there.

Only one way to find out how much room there is to haggle......get down to see them and try your luck Very Happy 2010 RRS HSE TDV6 Ipanema Sand

Thanks for the feedback.

I ask because I want a sport and the wife wants a d3 disco, like you say the 7 seats can come handy but I'm not buying a car for everyone else to use!

Hi Daz,

Funny that you wife prefers a D3, my wife also prefers the Disco............she likes the extra seats when my daughters have their friends around......but just like you said, I am not buying a car for the daughters friends!!

If you wife wins the battle and you go for a Disco, I would recommend the D4 Bow down if your budget allows, take a test drive in it and you'll notice the difference between them, the D3 is still a great vehicle Thumbs Up
