Exactly. If they were struggling so badly they wouldn't have survived the last couple of years when other businesses were going to the wall. The thought that there is no profit in car sales is laughable - plenty of car sales places making money just from sales as they don't have any of the servicing and parts income to fall back on. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Can up you expand on how selling a new car generally is done so at a loss.

Yes, my dealer waives that on courtesy cars if I change mine over, and my insurance company quite happily changes it with no cost

My dealer doesnt charge but S stones used to, I was told that the warranty specifically stated about a courtesy car being provided - i challenged them at the time and i never again paid the courtesy car insurance charge.

This was 3 or maybe 6 years ago...maybe you should look at it. Mike
