Door Mouldings - Clips?

Hi guys,

The previous owner of my RRS has had the lower door mouldings colour coded but they are a very poor fit.
Every time I close the door, the trim wobbles about and looks as if it's about to fall off.

I assume I need new clips as the old ones have most probably broken.

2 questions:

1. Is the clip I need for these DYC101420?
2. How many would I need per door?

All four doors have the same issue.

Thanks in advance for any help Thumbs Up LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

Worth checking that the moulding has not broken on the inside. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Absolutely as this can often be the case where the plastic struts on the inside come away resulting in wobble Sad

As new clips won't fix this its worth a look before you get some... 2011 Autobiography Santorini Black

Sometimes you can just give the the moulding a hard smack and the existing clip will hold. I have the same problem on my RRS. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Guys, can anyone tell me how these lower door mouldings come off?

I Want to check if it's the clips I need or if the moulding is damaged. I'm thinking just a hard tug? Laughing LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

Hi Sag,
I did all this a few weeks ago here are a few picks, you should be able to count the clips you will need.I was lucky I only had to drill out the black ones on the rear of the front doors as I couldn't get them off??
There's a little screw on the inside of the rear doors you'll have to remove first.
I took the sill panels off as well as I fitted side steps and got the new ones colour coded too.
Hope this helps ya??

Some after pics
With the new side steps, grill, side vents, tread plate and a bit vinyl wrap on the bonnet and roof.

That is awesome Paul, thanks very much! Glad I saw that as I wouldn't have ordered enough clips.

Your RRS looks great by the way Thumbs Up LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

No worries Sag. Very Happy

I started with the lower tailgate trim first to see how much force I needed to use then after that it was pretty straight forward.
There's a couple of screws that you will have to take out in the front and rear wheel arches as well for the sills plus the big plugs underneath.
I was surprised at how much crap there was under the mouldings once I had taken them off as you can see from what's on the ground in the pics.
I fitted up new front and rear mud flaps when I put everything back on just to finish it off.

Yer thanks mine has been a work in progress over the last 12 months.
Almost finished just going to replace the badges with new ones and fit up the halo lights and paint the inners whilst apart and then a full detail and hopefully it's done but I'm sure ill find some other stuff to tinker with?? Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

All the best.
