It's something I've contemplated awd and I keep coming back to staying with my current RRS.

I certainly wouldn't have the new SE. It's a RRS-lite as far as I can see.

I agree, the new look and the price will have to grow on me, however I had the same problem with the 2010 facelift the smaller grill and front end did not look like a Range Rover to me, and now its the norm. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

I would go for the new model. Looks so much better than the old one and handles like a Range Rover Sport should. (IMO) |

Go for one 12 months or so old and let someone else take the first year's heavy depreciation. |

Considering ive got one of the vehicles in your choice awd, if i was offered a brand new sport SE as a straight swap then i wouldn't do it. As Bc says, its a personal choice and i also like my motors to be well specced which mine is. For me to spec a new sport anywhere near the current spec of mine i'd be looking at around 75k |

Having driven a friend's MY13 Black Edition, I was surprised how much better the road manners were than my MY08 TDV8. I did find the engine a little lacking but only when overtaking where the slight lack of torque seemed obvious. I don't really see what thee MY14 would have over that, especially in SE spec.

I think we are talking about the new SE - which isnt the same as the HSE and cant be speced the same as the HSE. Mike

As Mike says, the new SE is not in anyway like the old SE which was just another RRS to which you could add most options if you wished. The new SE can't be spec'd with proper 4WD nor any of the dynamic stuff. A number other options appear to be unavailable too. And it gets the old-spec TDV6 only. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
