I'd be interested in this too - I've also ordered the tow bar for the bike rack mainly and occasional Horse Trailer use. 2017 MY - Dynamic, same again!

I think the fixed one is £800 or so...unlike the current sports it requires a similar set up to the FFRR so a whole sub-frame assembly and wiring for the electric one Mike

nice! My dealer is charging £980 but def electric factory fitted. It does look like a gaping hole, can't avoid it I suppose given the design but not so hot.Fixed one going to look downright ugly on the rear end.

The FFRR loaner I had recently had deployable tow bar and was very neat - no hole in bumper |

The basic vehicle doesn't have the facility for a tow bar. When a tow bar is fitted, either in the factory or by a dealer, a new sub frame is bolted in to the rear of the vehicle to carry the tow ball. Any aftermarket system will have to include some form of subframe in the same way. As the RRS is an aluminium chassis, any subframe will have to be carefully designed to use the correct fixing locations on the chassis so is likely to be as expensive as LR's item is.
