If that is true then:

The Rolls Royce Ghost isn't a Rolls Royce as it uses a BMW 7 series chassis.
The Jaguar X type isn't a Jaguar as it uses a Mondeo chassis.
The Jaguar S type isn't a Jaguar as it uses a Lincoln chassis.
The Lexus ES isn't a Lexus as it uses a Toyota Camry chassis.

T/G do use FFRR for their camera cars so they can't be all bad You often see them when they are filming an on road shot.

There are a few pictures of them using D4s now.  Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

Don't forget the TG presenters are only journos, they have no professional expertise so they just latch onto and regurgitate stuff they are told (presumably by the manufacturer). Whilst generally good entertainment, TG's view of anything is not really based on any effective or logical evaluation criteria.

Just been to test drive a new one nine months waiting list! and every time I asked a question 'thats an extra' was the reply, must be to keep the weight down, £400.00 for a can cooler haha get a life.... a womans rule of thumb:if it has tyres or testicles your going to have trouble with it

I've just been lucky enough to swap (for a few days) my now nearly 4 year old 5.0L s/c (59 plate) for a brand spanking autobiography 5.0L s/c, courtesy of a sales push by Land Rover HQ. While I am still not overly taken by the cosmetic changes, the advances having driven it are astonishing.

The new car is noticeably quicker off the mark, and under continued acceleration than my existing car (a friend followed me in mine), which was unable to keep up on a sprint test. The high speed cornering ability is demonstrably better, with the car sitting flatter throughout. It feels sturdier and more planted than mine, and is a much better mile cruncher, both in comfort and pickup on the overtake.

I've had two 160mile return journeys in it, along with several short stop start trips as well. I have to admit, I am not looking forward to handing it back on Tuesday when the driver comes to collect it. I'm not totally sold on the styling, but driving the thing is a whole different ball game.

Finally - fuel consumption. My car is lucky to hit 250 miles per full tank - more often than not, 220 miles. I have a heavy right boot, it would appear. The new one has cleared 360 miles to a full tank. Very impressive given the performance advantage.
