Parking sensor continual beep

When I select reverse gear, quite rightly the sensor gives out a beep to say its working. Unfortunately the beep is then followed by a continuous beep, a pitch higher or lower, I cannot remember which, obviously masks any obstruction beep noise. The parking sensors are now useless as the switch has to be pressed to turn them off. Each sensor on the bumpers appear to be working. I have had it to an indi who says that the computer is coming up "No Fault". Any suggestions first and possibly the last

I sometimes get this issue when ive just cleaned the car. Make sure you give them a good clean out and see if that helps. 2007 TDV6 HSE

This started 3 weeks ago on my 57 plate tdv8. I have cleaned the car together with the bumper sensors a couple of times since. The indi garage warned about jet washing but we have never done this. Could the part under the bonnet be faulty (module or whatever its called) is their one for the front and one for the rear. first and possibly the last
