Looking for a genuine landrover/timken wheel bearing as heard bad reports on many of the britpart etc parts.
I found some on ebay from dewsbury auto salvage, advertised as Oem. Called them and they did not know the manufacturer just "there from Japan mate". How ever you can describe something as Oem and not know the manufacturer, is madness.
The best price for oem is approx £110 .
Any one know where to get them cheaper

The oem ones I just took off my d3 are made in Japan, so sounds right.

You can also get the timken ones which were also oem

The ones from DAS recon they are Japanese but at just £ 66 I gave them a call and they didnt fill me with confidence.

Would you buy the £66 one and worry about it after fitting? I can't see how it's OEM at that price.

I have found genuine deals in the past. Like a battery for £30 from a dealer when the part numbers change.

As I mentioned on the D3 forum - Timken (USA) price is very hard to beat, staying in the quality sector, we make very little out of our sale price on this unit. We do also have stock of Firstline Keyparts units for a little less, I have had one on my Disco since last November, no issues!

The only other wholesale supplier I have found in the UK would sell us Chinese product for £22, I didn't bother!

I have yet to find an alternative OEM trusted supplier for these hubs, I have tried and it's my field, anything else out there would be of questionable source in my opinion. Paul Redding

Is it worth me bothering with the Firstline Keyparts, or just get the Timken?
Do they both have the same warranty?

Timken is the OEM ftment, we guarantee everything for at least 2 years so your choice, we have plenty of both.

Little price difference so I guess the Timken would be a good investment on the basis it should last as long as your first one.
