Hello ajp166.

I´m quite sure that a 2010 RRS have Bi-Xenons.

If I´m not totally wrong, Bi-Xenon is when You have both dipped- and high-beam in the same
lamp.

If You look at Your dipped beam, from the outside, You can se that the light makes almost a "half ellipse"
on the plastic cover of the light.

Flick over to high beam, and look again, You can se that the "half ellipse" has grown to a full ellipse.

Inside the light is a shutter, that opens up at high beam, and closes at dipped beam.

That is what a Bi-Xenon is, a Xenon bulb that you use both for dipped and high beam.

Other manufacturers have solved the Bi-Xenon function by instead of a shutter, moving the bulb forwards/backwards to change the lightpattern.

And You can also observe that when on full beam, You also have the halogen light on.

I hope that my ramblings helped a bit

Ok thanks but my mate has an 08 plate Audi s8 and his bi xeons use the same bulb for normal lights and when he flashes high beam but on my rrs when I flash my high beam its using the other bulbs next to the main xeons and those lights are not white , so the high beam is a different bulb... But I have my build spec and it says I have adaptive bi xeon lights so I'm totally confused! My mate thinks my build spec sheet is wrong

The RRS uses a xenon for dipped beam. It also uses the xenon for high beam too by way of a moveable shutter. Hence it's a bi-xenon. For some reason, LR also fitted a halogen light to act as a "fill in" beam when on high beam. That's the second light you see coming on. So when on high beam you are actually using 4 bulbs - 2 xenon, 2 halogen. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yes thanks also. The main issue was that halogen light that comes on made my mates think they were not bi xenon but now I realise the halogen light is just a fill in..
