as Chinook just flew over my head just above the tree tops about a hour ago whilst at Moreton in marsh

I can see why they call the chinook a Wokka as the noise they make is very distinct and I knew what it was before I saw it

We were down nr Salisbury last year and on the flight path of Apache and Chinooks and I was calling them before we could see them - drove SWMBO crazy

Year before we were nr Brize Norton and could nearly see the whites of the pilots eyes and some big planes their

Well it was still a great sight, the whole site seams to stop and look, seem to be on a flight path for lots of military looking planes, though most are a good few thousand feet higher
