Got Sky?.....save a few £'s!

Well, as a 'Beancounter' you'd expect me to me tighter than a Yorkshireman's duck........and you'd be right Embarassed Laughing

So, having decided that in the current climate I should waste less money, I rang Sky up today. Twisted Evil

I was very honest from the outset and said, "look, times are tough for everyone, I have no intention of leaving as the family would kill me if I pulled the plug on sky, but I want to pay less for the same services"......and........to my amazement, there and then the guy gave me 25% off for 1 year Shocked

To be honest, I was expecting them to tell me to 'jog on' and I'd have to threaten to leave, but they clearly have far too much money, or my reduced revenue is still profitable for them.

So, my tip of the day, give them a ring and save yourself a few £'s. For me, it works out at just shy of £200 for the year, so worth the 5 minute phone call. Mr. Green ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I tried it a few years ago Nick, but like you was told to firmly 'no' and I couldn't be arsed to threaten to cancel. Laughing
I guess they are targeting customer retention at the moment Idea ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Was told "no" when I tried last year or the year before. Didn't cancel for the same fear as BC Sad

The thing is, if you say you want to cancel I believe you have to give them notice, something like 30days or the remaining part of the month you have paid, therefore push it to cancellation, if they haven't Called to say pretty please stay with us, just a quick call to say you have changed your mind before the final date

Along the same lines I have just built a home cinema,I already had sky multi room but wanted the sky in the cinema room to be hd.
I rang sky expecting to be charged another £10 per month but no it's free if you have the hd on another box already, also their wifi box for on demand are also free at the moment.
All you have to do is get an Hd capable box insert your viewing card give them a ring and they switch it over and enable Hd Thumbs Up
Ps.also forgotten how good proper BIG speakers sound, now this room doesn't have to comply with wife's decorating ideas Laughing
