United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

No probs with mine - November 2011 car, MY12 SDV6 HSE with a few extras such as sunroof, adaptive cruise, 825W audio etc - but then it has done only 7900 miles.

I work from home so it only gets used for the odd school run, the grocery shopping and two annual trips to Belgium mainly.

It has been great; preferable overall to my previous Evoque and D4 which were also fine cars. Current car: Porsche 911 Carrera S PDK (997.2) Past Car: (MY12) Range Rover Sport HSE SDV6 - Orkney Grey with Almond interior
Bike:Ducati Monster 1100 EVO

Oman 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

OK owned my 06 SC for 4 years now and excluding issues related to me breaking the car driving off road the only things that have broken on mine are:

1. Compressor for EAS (twice once under warranty though)
2. Main drivers side electric window module
3. Fuel Vapour Pump - due to overfilling the tank
4. AC fan and relay
5. Front and rear Anti Roll Bar bushes (really a maintenance item)

Apart from that just the regular service/ maintainance items. I did have problems with vibrations but this was down to poor quality oversized tyres and dented alloys. Resolved with decent tyres and new alloys.

Most of the time the car has been off the road is due to modifications I have had carried out like, painting, RAI, wheels, interior wiring, headlights with halos now Sparky's LED's, etc...

So all in all 4 years of relatively trouble free driving, always enjoyed it and hope to have a few more Smile

Cheers

Australia 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand

The recurrent theme on this site is that almost universally we love the cars to drive. But, given the expense of them, the fact that we have the sheer number of failiures is a worry. And that many of the failures which can disable the cars seem to be of minor components that then cause the whole vehicle to come to a halt. Realistcially today in 2013 where a Kia can be purchased with 7 years warranty, such is the confidence of the manufacturer in the car, to see this many faults with such serious consequences, is not acceptable. As a start Land Rover should be offering as standard a 5 year Warranty. If they want us to genuinely believe that they are acting on all the reliablity issues. Like Simple, did we love the Sport to drive? Yes. But where is it now (and has been since May 23d)? in some yard still faulty. What other manufacturer/car has this sort of issue, and which seems to be so common? The other sites I visit talk of rattles/squeaks/minor issues. We talk of turbo failure suspension failure/car wont run/start etc etc. SWMBO owns this car I get to drive occasionally Smile

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

I've had my 2006 TDV6 for around 6 months now and all I've had to do is:-

Suspension ECU reset - £ can't remember, think it was only about £20-£30 at an Independant specialist
Washer fluid level sensor - £3
Intercooler hose - £35

Mileage of car is 113k ish.

Not so bad in comparrison to some lower mileage examples on here Whistle Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Vito 110cdi

Previous: Mercedes CLS, BMW 330cd M sport, Nissan 200sx, Impreza STi, EP3 Civic Type R

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

2007 TDV6. Had it 7 months now.

Bought from independant, had ARB replaced by them about a month after i bought it. Have clocked up nearly 10,000 miles in the time ive had it, now on 80K. Its pulled caravans, my Defender offroader on trailer, various other trailers and i love it.

Bottom line is....I bought the car knowing i may have to put my hand in my pocket more frequently than other cars ive owned, hence spending slightly less and being able to afford to run/maintain the car no probs.

I think thats the main problem. Some people buy cars like these and spend their absolute top budget, leaving no room for problems/running costs and then slate them when they go wrong. You buy a £60K when new car and you've got to understand that even when they are 10 years old, they are still going to cost the same to maintain and run as they did when new.

RRS is a great place to be and gets lovely comments off a lot of people. 2007 TDV6 HSE
