Assistance required!

Just had my RRS bumpers sprayed 'Bonatti Grey' (Car is Bonatti Grey) using the code under the lid. LRC 659. However looks nothing like the original and stands out a mile. It is more like a Pewter colour.

I heard that there were yellow and green variations?

Any help would be benificial.

There aren't variations, no. Bonatti is a dark grey, but difficult to say anything without photos really  Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Agree with Martin...there are two remote possibilities - stress remote, the colour wasn't matched to take account of ageing (although I've never fully bought that) or they changed the pigment when there was the paint shortage a few years back.

More likely something else that only pics can help with Mike

2014 Facelift Discovery

Bear in mind your car is 7 years old and the paint will of faded. Are the bumpers darker than the rest of the car?

It is darker but my original colour has a tinge of green in sunlight.

This just looks a little flat.

A member on a sister forum had his colour coded and they came out with paint cards, there was something like 11 shades of Stornaway grey

I assume this it to cover paint fade and abnormalities when mixing colours together

Of course they could have mixed to wrong colour code also

Anybody know the RAL code for the colour? I believe this is more accurate?

Your right about the pictures difficult to see in your gallery.... They don't exist... You won't get a RAL colour to match your Bonatti grey. The only way is to get it colour matched properly is with a reputable company. Paint codes vary between manufacturers Even on the RAL colour believe it or not. Especially Akzo Nobel paints.
