I couldn't fault my 2006 TDV6 HSE. Had it for 15 months sold it when it had 52500 miles on the clock.

Had mine for 15 months and done 22000 miles with no problems. Had 2 sets of tyres (first set lasted 8000 miles) and replaced front discs and pads (fair wear and tear) otherwise problem free.

If others are adding to this, can they say if their cars are dealer supplied, independant garage or private? |

At the risk of tempting fate........Had mine 20 months now from new (supplied by LPR) and apart from the first year service I had one issue where the car went into limp mode, the cause of which was found to be a loose turbo inlet pipe, which was sorted after diagnosis without too much drama and an Evoque to trot about in the meantime.

I had a short run of issues a or so year ago. Battery died (wrong battery had been fitted at some point) then the alternator. Starter motor died. The replacement failed within 6 months! Rear dynamic ARB leaked and was replaced. Thermostat housing started leaking and was replaced. All done under warranty.

I've had mine for 15 months now, bought privately from the first owner while still within the 3-year warranty, originally supplied to him by LPR. Bought at 33k miles, now at 45k.

Mine was serviced every year hence LR contributing towards the engine. The last service was 3000 prior to the engine blow up so servicing doesn't help As I have always said, I loved my car, miss it like an old friend but just couldn't put up with any more failures and inept service from dealers. When the car went well which was 60% of its life, I couldn't fault it, had it been reliable I would have kept it without a thought. But after £16000 was spent on it, and that's at discounted parts and labour, it still wasn't right. So is it the car, or more likely the tw*ts that work on it and cause the problems??? 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀 TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!! Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈 Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱 Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜 |

I bought an 06 3 years ago from an independent dealer. After going through 3 years of minor issues and the feeling the car was a ticking time bomb waiting to go off and cost me lots of money I traded up for an 11 which I am very happy with and it is all the car the first one should have been.
