Just a guess but is the release cable or mechanism seized? Does the hood release lever spring back into the detente position when you release it or just stay in the same place? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Happened to my old TDV6 after it came back from service at LR. Turns out it ws the bonnet latches seized, even though part of the service was greasing and checking operation of latches |
