BG244 Diesel fuel cleaner

Hi Guys,

I've done a forum search and haven't found anything on the above.

If I have posted in the wrong section, I apologise.

Now, a mate of mine has a 2008 VW Golf 2.0 GT TDI Sport with 57k on the clock and has used a can of BG244 diesel fuel cleaner and claims his engine has smoothed out, and has achieved 5mpg more after it's been in for a few tanks.

I was wondering whether anyone has used it on their RRS before and what the results were. It claims to clean injectors and other components of carbon build up etc.

Mine is the 2.7 engine now with 120k and we are going through Europe in August this year again and he suggested we get some for my car.

In winter I achieved 33mpg on the same trip and being summer I would hope to achieve the same if not a little more mpg on the run.

Suggestions and responses please..... Current - RRS SE Rimini Red

If he buys some I might stick it in with a tankful.

I certainly won't be spending my hard earned on it.

Thanks for the advice. Current - RRS SE Rimini Red

Used it in my E60 with no notable difference in performance or economy.

I do use Redex every 3 months - that works a treat. Better mpg and a much smoother throttle response. LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

I might give the redex a try first seeing as its cheaper, then give it a few months and maybe try the other stuff if no difference Current - RRS SE Rimini Red
