Side vents question / problem

I took off the side vents and this is what I got, on the right hand side it seems ok, there is a rubber inside.
but on the left hand side, i have a plastic cover inside , no rubber and there is also something blocking a hole there at the bottom inside please see photos and let me know if this is correct?

thank you,
pierre

if you complete your profile, then we will know which model and year of car you have. Thumbs Up

But I would say that one side is the 'fake' intake only for cosmetic purposes.

What there is shoved in, looks like a bag of drugs...... Whistle

But seriously I dont know wht it could be Bodsys Brake Bible

I think the majority of the models only 1 air intake is "real" and on the new one...none are Shocked Mike

Bodsy , I needed to add the color otherwise it won't show up, that was why.

MSE, Thanks, I believe the foam inside the plastic bag is here to block an air entry, maybe the air was noisy inside these parts. (resonances).

I am in the process of detailing of those hided places, hood, between the door and body, all hided plastic, gasket etc ... all what a detailer won't do unless you pay him for i guess... tdv6s 2.7 2007
