I'd suspect a pinion bearing in the differentials.

moreover I have checked microcat... no pinion bearings in my car as a seperated parts near diffs(both) Changeable parts are :pionion seal(front dif) one side bearing(small) and both sides seals all parts in front diff In the rear its only two bearing from both sides of diff with seals.... so? what do you mean saying pinion bearings? integral part with all diff? |

If noise is only when car's under power then I'd suggest the inner pinion shaft bearing (i.e. the diff. input shaft bearing) as its under pressure when the load is on.

But if failure ,diff needs to be changed yes? As i said no such a parts(bearings) from prop-shaft side available as a spare parts ...this bearing is inside diff as i see in microcat |

small update... after the rear pads and disk change (including hand brake parts) sound vanished. ... harshness remains.... maybe its normal for that car |

Shouldn't be any harshness. If it is just at take up, I would be checking diff, gearbox and engine mountings and exhaust clearance/mountings. Also centre prop shaft bearings are known to fail at higher miles. New prop is £235 so dont bother to try changing carrier bearing Having had both Sport and now Fullfat, take up is smooth and seamless. I did have a front diff failure last year that gave noise and harshness most noticed at around 25-30 mph and could be felt through steering wheel amongst many other failures 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

gearbox checked mountings including exhoust checked propshafts no clearances even I hang on it bearings checked for clearnances and additional sound (car jacked and with free wheels drive) sounds is smaller however still exists and its ONLY for 1-2 seconds in some specific RPM during load (acceleration)from stop(1-2 gear) i when I ride and accelerate let say from some constant speed like 50km/h and up no noises.... |

Was there ever a resolution to this one, or was the prevailing advice of 'get rid of it' taken? |
