Had an XR3i cab myself, with reccaro's, koni adj shocks and a turbo bonnet, loved it! Only had it a summer though! Bought it to bridge a gap waiting on an insurance pay out!! Still a very cool car in my opinion, not many going around in good nick? Not sure what I'd go back to, but I do regret not buying a Renault 5 turbo... Intact I should have bought 10 and garages them!? That would have almost sorted my mortgage out!!! Here - Range Rover Sport MY05 HSE (Changes coming)
Here - Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo MY12 (60+ mpg)

Gone - Long list of unsuitable cars for me a wife and two kids including Impreza's and VXR's

I'd buy a 309GTi again. A friend at college had an Escort RS Turbo. He was quicker on the straights but I was quicker in the twisties and under braking. Fabulous handling balance - knocked spots off the 205GTi which was so popular at the time. The fact that it was ugly meant no one wanted them, so they were anonymous and un-nicked. Insurance was cheaper. Parts costs were the same. Slightly longer wheelbase meant the handling was predictable and trail-braking in to corners was stable and rewarded on the way out of the corner. Fabulous vehicle.

Other than that, the Suzuki Swift Sport was an absolute hoot. Brilliant front end when pushing on across B-roads. Great comfort and stability when doing miles on the motorway at numpty-nine miles per hour. Totally under-rated by the masses because it wasn't a Mini or Clio. Cheap as chips and twice as tasty. Oh, and the most comfortable seats of any car I've ever owned, RRS included. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I had a white 1986 B reg Audi Quattro with colour coded wheels. 5 Cyl 2.0 turbo, I WISH I still had it. It was so quick and handled so well. The only dislike at the time was the digital speedo. I would sell my RRS and pay a small fortune to own one again in good condition.

Being slightly older Shocked my fun was had with Rs2000 and Supersport 131 Fiats. I had a factory built xpack Escort in black, spent fortunes on it, big cam, twin 45's big exhaust and suspension and pee'd everyone off at uni parking late at night Embarassed
It got written off in a traffic jam on the A303 by an Allagro Big Cry Big Cry bought a 131 Supersport with insurance payout which fell to bits in a year. Not long after that I bought my Audi which I used to take great pleasure in parking next to the MD at Brentwood when I worked for Ford.
Does make me chuckle, I designed the body kit for RS Turbo Mk1 and Mk11 amongst other things while I worked at FoMoCo Motorsport Whistle
I still have the Audi, which I was eventually forced to replace with a Ford, ok it was a RS500 cosworth which I also had kept until a few years ago. Audi is going to classic car show in Bath this weekend as a featured exhibit. Shame I don't have any pictures of it covered in mud after driving half a stage in Kielder while following 1985 RAC Bow down should of had the older model, analogue dash and brown velour stripey seats Thumbs Up

Might surprise you that you don't need a fortune to buy one, as parts get harder to buy, prices have dropped. This one is worth @ £5000 with 109000 miles and two owners from new. They were actually 2144 cc 10 valve, 5 cyl turbo, the earlier WR engine producing 205 bhp, in 1987 they became 2226cc MB engine and the last RR 20 valve 1989 cars 2305 cc producing 235 bhp. 2x TDV6. I would buy a Mercedes W201 190e 2.5 16v Cosworth in blue/black with a manual gearbox.

First saw one when I was about 8 year old and always loved the look of them, prices are starting to rise now though so I better get a move on and buy one!

Peugeot 205 Gti 1.9. great car, super fast in a straight line, not around bends though as I found out on the M60 joining the M56 foot down around sweeping bend, turned steering wheel , nothing happened kept going straight and slammed into the side of the motorway bridge wall.
Walked away without a scratch, sore neck though, but could not claim as whiplash had not been invented at the time Whistle Current Volvo XC90 R Design T8
Gone 2010 TDV8. Stornoway Grey
Gone VW R50, AUDI S8, ML320 Sport, FFRR V8
Stolen 2007 TDV8.

I had a Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider when I was 18 and also still wish I had it. I do occasionally check on EBay but any that come up are nearly as much as they were new and almost double what I paid for mine at 18 when it was 2 years old!

This is quite an interesting site..... Super am vicious prices though perhaps?
