Could be the relay - did they change it when they changed the compressor? They are known to get a little "tired" and cause compressor symptoms.

Considering that the car is handling like a suet pudding and the suspension is playing up, I recommend you take it to someone who knows what they are doing! it's not just your safety at stake.... 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Sounds like you have a leak and thats why the compressor is running, if they have changed it to the new type they would have to have changed the pipe work get this checked as this could be the cause of your leak.
