Gone and done it again!

My new RRS Black Edition arrived at dealer yesterday and being prepared for collection next week Cool

Not going to be able to sleep until I get it Laughing

Strange thing is I have now had 2 of every LR I have bought - 2 FL1, 2 D2, 2 FL2 and now 2 RRS - SWMBO thinks I have OCD Whistle

It certainly felt like it last time I bought a black LR Big Cry

Financed for added protection and rejecting first sign of trouble Whistle

Anyone think the protection to paint and leather worth getting from the dealer or is it a con Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Con, but worth getting done by a detailer, something like the GTechniq C1 or another ceramic scratch resistant finish,

Look up new car protection details, better prep than the dealers valeter who needs to get as many cars done in a day as possible

Agreed!

Mine was done by the dealer but it was the last "freebie sweetener" they threw in to he deal. They used Auto Glym and gave me a substantial kit of Auto Glym goodies but no way would I have paid them for it

Muddy, Make sure you take GAP insurance out but not with the stealer. Kam off here (is he still around?) did me a great deal, less than £200 for four years cover upto 25k of cover if i remember right. I'd also get a detailer to protect your painteork. I wouldn't let my dealer touch my paintwork i got my detailer Tony Spears (Autoshine) to go to my dealer and prep my motor before i collected it. They will also pick up on any paint or body defects should there be any. Thumbs Up

Cheers Nick and Ady for the paint protection info Thumbs Up

Are GAP and protective finishes worth having - I'm not really sure because I always say no and assume they are just ways of making more money and like warranty claims always have a loophole Embarassed Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
