I read it could tow 2400kg that's 400kg more than my current car, so not that limited, but less than a RRS

Looks wise, it's don't look too bad, but a little bland on the exterior

I'd still consider one though Thumbs Up

I spoke to one of the salesmen at TH Whites the other day and he told me the FL2 had a 2,400kg tow limit?

I always thought they were 2000 (as you do) RRS gone

don't you just love incorrect information

My local dealer told me the FL2 Dynamic (FL2 with Bodykit) had the dynamic stability button with magna ride that the evoque has, even though they had one in the showroom, he was in it trying to find the no existent button to show me, even though i was saying it didn't come on the FL2 Rolling Eyes Laughing

Like I said, limited towing capability. Our horse trailer has a max gross weight of nearly 2600kg.

Admittedly, most people's towing requirements are limited to tin snails so 2400kg is probably adequate.

I recently saw someone towing a large horse trailer with a BMW X3. So far as I can tell, it was somewhat over-trailered (the X3 doesn't have a huge towing capacity). I do wonder how many people tow trailers/snails that are too heavy for their vehicle. I bet it's not uncommon. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I bet a large number dont even have the correct licence to allow them to tow the max weight either. Mike

I think its policed when something looks out or when they are done for something else....i dont know whether i fully agree with all the Jan 97 licence changes, but still...some people really dont know how to tow a trailer and thats worrying Mike

I agree, was at an event in Skipton today and made a point of looking at the towing vehicles, a mixed bag really but most were within the limit, did see an RRS with the detachable towbar towing in excess of the 2000kg that I have been advised was the limit for that configuration. I use my FFRR for towing

I understand that 2t limit is a myth. They changed the advice about prolonged use.

saw an Audi towing a twin axle horse box with two in today Mike

Mike, was advised by my well trusted indy that an RRS with detachable has a limit of 2000KG, dont mind as have to use old FFRR which my wife uses Very Happy not withstanding, I tow horses all the time and cant believe what some will do, worst case for me is the 4 door saloons. I understand that they want the weekend fun, buy its bloody dangerous! Maybe I am too cautious, :

I dont think that is correct im afraid (i know it isnt), i know there was some rumours going around...ive just looked at the hand book and there isnt anything that would indicate that either. Mike
