Had my Admiral Multicar renewal through last week. Pleasantly surprised as it was down by £300 for both cars from last years premium. Thought I would check on the confused.com site and came out with some more competitive quotes including surprisingly one from Admiral which was £250 less than my renewal premium.
Gave Admiral a call and they matched the confused.com quotes and I also added NCB protection for a few pounds extra. All in all a very useful exercise as I have saved £500 on last years premium for both cars  RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE 2012 Santorini Black

I had the same scenario with Admiral, got a quote from Elephant which are Admirals sister company and Admiral matched it, saved £300.
It is the same every year, you get a renewal quote from your existing insurer that is always over the top, why cant insurance companies give you their best quote first time around.
Probably a percentage of people do not question their re-newel price and the insurance company makes more money.
