Hi all,

I need an ignition live in the bonnet area for my LED DRL's, as having some issues using the non ignition live.

Was told to use FUSE1 in the fuse box, but if I was looking correctly at the fuse box this was closest to the windscreen and I could not get to the cables underneath to tap into it

Can anyone help with either how do I get to this one or where I can get another easily ?

I've just had a look under my bonnet to see where the auto electrical guys wired mine into, but they've done such a good job I cannot find the feed! RRS gone

In mine I took the feed from one of the empty relay sockets, you can just plug in with a normal spade connector.
Check which one is under ignition and add an inline fuse.
I did this way to bring power behind the grill for DLRs and horn. '08 RRS TDV8

Here is the one I used.
Please note that mine is a LHD so might be slightly different, also depending on the equipment.

Just been reading this as im looking to wire up an original set of Range Rover DRL's that I managed to get my hands on last year. I already have some headlight led's wired up, but these are as side lights.

Couple of questions as im a complete novice at this:

1/. Is it a 12v fuse that is required for the in-line fuse?
2/. Could the power to the sidelights (orange/black wire) also be wired to this constant power source so that the sidelights (or in my case Headlight LED's) are permanently on?

One other question, my DRL's have an option of "DRL" or "DRL and Position Light." Anyone know the difference?

Yes again. Make sure you create good waterproof connections if your tapping into the vehicles wiring.

I would suggest you use a relay to shut the DRLs off with the headlights too.

Can you post a picture or a link to the relevant lights? Is there an additional feed built into them?  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Isn't the "positon light" the additional light that is part of the Adaptive Headlights that comes on at less than 30MPH when turning and illuminates the kerb/ road edge? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Then the other thing it could be is the lamp fitted behind the orange front and rear side refelctor plates that are part of the lamp units for the USA spec cars but not fitted in European Market cars as far as I know. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I assume it means just a standard sidelight but what I'm wondering is, is it a separate light, or does it dim, or is it related to its functioning in relation to the vehicle sidelights? Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Very late reply but here's the pic. This has been in the garage for 8 months so thought I'd best pull my finger out.

One feed is "DRL & position light," one feed is DRL ONLY.

Any ideas?
