help with strange brake problem! | |
A few years ago, I upgraded my standard front HSE brake claipers to remanufactured Brembo units. Since then, the brake pedal sinks very low when first starting the car (past the gas pedal) and the first 1-2 inches of brake travel do nothing when moving. I have had the brakes bled around 4-5 times in the past 1 year and the car is at the dealer now for further diagnoses. They have replaced the master cylinder and booster, along with a pressure bleeding including bleeding the abs system. They currently have the unique Brembo brake booster on order and will try that, but I am unsure what else to try if that fails. The calipers were completely remanufactured, new piston seals, powdercoated, everything. I thought that an air pocket would cause the low brake pedal, but I've had them pressure bled and vacuum bled multiple times. Any other ideas? 2011 RRS Supercharged, Santorini Black on Brown/Tan, pretty perfect as is
2008 RRS HSE Lux (sold), Alaska white on Ivory/Ebony, Supercharged front and side grill's, 20" genuine stormer wheels, Supercharged front Brembo brake retrofit, Supercharged exhaust tips retrofit, 2010+ tail lights retrofit, Color coded mirror caps, Nappa leather steering wheel retrofit.
