Bodyshop Required - Medway / Maidstone

Morning all,

Not a happy bunny.

I had a slight lapse of concentration and clipped the side of my In-Laws pebble dashed garage at the weekend. Big Cry Big Cry I also managed to ding the alloy too but I will do that later... Big Cry

The dent / scratch is about 3 inches long Big Cry

Are there any owners that are from the Medway / Maidstone area who have good experiences of a local body shop who could turn this around for me quickly? I don't want to hire a car if possible.

Also, any idea of cost?

Any help, as always, appreciated.

Richard.

I'd get in touch with KDS, (http://www.kdskeltec.co.uk/ ) you can see their work over on detailing world and they are very well regarded.

I'd go as far as saying Kelly of KDS is one of the best in the country to be honest Bradders. Thumbs Up

They've done some full repaints on some exotic cars and the finish is sublime. Problem is, i recon once RWA5H goes there, he'll end up getting his car fully detailed too and come out £750 lighter Rolling with laughter ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I wasn't planning having to "detail" so soon after purchasing a brand spanker however, he does do a great job and I have noticed slight orange peeling. Whistle

TBH, I was thinking of a more traditional body repair shop for my minor dent.

Still can't believe I did it..... Censored Censored Censored 2013 (13.5MY) RRS HSE Black | Causeway Grey | Privacy | Ivory & Ebony | Grand Black Lacquer | Style 7 Alloys | AWESOME

Yeah I know........

They say the 1st is the most painful. I realise that my doors will take a bashing in the car parks at some point so it wont stay perfect.

I wasn't as hard on myself as I would have been if the Mrs had done it Smile 2013 (13.5MY) RRS HSE Black | Causeway Grey | Privacy | Ivory & Ebony | Grand Black Lacquer | Style 7 Alloys | AWESOME

Contacted these guys and they gave me a quick quote of £265 based on the photo. I'm booked in for Saturday to get that quote firmed up.

Thanks TrevG Thumbs Up impressed so far.

I do want this doing quick as you're dead right Ady, it's easy to lose interest once little things start to happen to it. I like to keep a clean car much to the amusement of my Mrs. 2013 (13.5MY) RRS HSE Black | Causeway Grey | Privacy | Ivory & Ebony | Grand Black Lacquer | Style 7 Alloys | AWESOME

Took her in this morning to meet Martyn who confirmed the quote and explained what he will do. Just need to sort out a day to do it now.

Thanks again

Have you had this done yet ?

Difficult to tell exactly from the photo but personally I think most of that scratch will flat out with something like 2000 grit and compounded back properly you should hardly see anything if any at all

The dent certainly can be removed using Paintless Dent Removal and will be a much better repair than filler and paint which will have the issues of shrinkage, colour match, etc etc

Will be the quickest and best method for the car and will retain its original paintwork etc
