The first one is slightly odd in having done a lot more miles than is recommended before the first service. Also, the other services are a variable with regards to the service interval.

The second one looks like it's got a typo - the 2010 service is repeated. If the 2011 service was done as close to the 12 months as the others have been then it suggests a fastidious person and might indicate that they've taken some care of the vehicle - especially if it comes with plenty of receipts for work done.

The problem with buying from dealers is that the receipts tend to have been removed from the documentation so you never really know what's been done except for the stamps in the book.

If the second one above has the correct 2011 service date/mileage then I'd probably steer towards that one rather than any of the others you've mentioned so far. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The first one seems to have missed to 2009 service and the 08 service is too high.

As a rule each service should be either 12months or 140000miles Mike

If the service record does not show services that are inside 12month or 15,000 miles it does not comply with JLR's requirement - so either it does or it doesn't. If its missed a service then JLR will not cover any future engine and turbo-charger problems either inside the 3 year warranty or any goodwill such as we've seen on this site with a few engine failures.; they may cover other bits under warranty.

If its not right don't think twice move on.

The dealer can get the original build spec for the car based on its chassis number.

As a ex-dealer principal when I buy a car for myself I've found it a good idea to write down all questions on a 'check list' and go through them with the selling dealer - (you can email in advance so they have time to get the info).

If you sit with the dealer and go through the check list and make notes on it that document can become the basis of your deal and, should anything, not turn out as you expected you have factual base to start discussions.

Its best to start out with the facts rather than have an argument downstream on who said what to who !!!

Unfortunately the RRS is not the most reliable of cars and it can be hugely expensive to repair so safe guard your self as far as possible.

Warranty companies are not charities and will look at the small print to avoid costs if they can - that's what we would do if it was us- so that facts must be crystal clear.

Do not be fobbed off by a dealer selling a warranty - any issue is their responsibility as the seller for at least 3 months it makes no difference to your rights if there is a warranty with a 3rd party that only ADDs to your protection it doesn't reduce it.
