United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

Not surprised. Just read the small print and its limited to 3 grand plus vat per claim up to a maximum of the value of the car in one year. So if your engine lets go and bill is 12 grand as per mine, then you will only get 3 grand towards it. For 1160 quid that is Censored pour contribution. Shocked 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Arctic Frost

I have a Warranty Direct package and I'd say that as with all these things make sure your read the small print. If you have a RRS 2007 then you'll only ever get at best 50% of the cost of whatever needs replacing as your vehicle is over 5 years old. They have a graduated scale for cost replacement and although I'm away from both my car and warranty at present I am sure that's the case as mine is a 2005.

I've claimed on it twice for minor parts and my servicing specialist says they (WD) are much harder to deal with nowadays as they wriggle and haggle IHHO.

That said they paid what they they said (50%) quickly and promptly to me by cheque but if you are unlucky and something pricey goes then 50% is better than 0% in my book.

I paid £1500 for 3 years of cover. Haggle over their prices if you buy a multi year pack as that seems to work.

There is a 90 day initial non coverage period but you'll get that waived if you haggle hard.

Good luck with your choice..

So am I right in thinking that if anything did/does go wrong and its covered by the WarrantyDirect warranty, WD will only pay 50% of the total costs ?

Is this the same with all warranties or is it just WarrantyDirect ? Crying or Very sad TDV6 Zermatt Silver - Fully colour coded - Full HST kit

Warranty Direct. For vehicles over 5 years old (maybe 6?) then yes it's an automatic 50% refund of costs. There's a graduated scale up to 5 years too.

As I say, read the small print carefully before you plunge.

My 2005 2.7TDV6 HSE has 110K on it and I just love it. I did lots of homework, viewed many and had this one inspected. It was at a little independent garage.

They don't all go wrong, sometimes reading this forum you can get lulled into a sense that RRS break and have problems all the time.

My experience is not that. Sure they're not cheap to service or maintain but then you expect that.

It's a cracking car and I won't change mine at the moment.

The AA do some pretty good warranty packages too I believe? 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE in Artic Frost. 20" 2010 HST Alloys, sidesteps, Hawke tips, plus minor bits and bobs along with a remap. Four spike spiders ready for the Alps again now tucked up in their garage boxes...
