Egr cleaning process

Just been reading an interesting post with pics about cleaning the MAP sensor an was wondering if the egr valves can also cleaned like the one on the bmw engine I had in my l322? I know there are two on these engines how hard are the to access ? Has anyone done a thread with pics ? Cheers

its a pretty major job to take them both off to clean mate , i cleaned mine by spraying egr cleaner down both inlets while rving engine at 3k , it worked a treat

EGR cleaner on a TDV6 is a waste of time IMHO.

For one, the valves fail because the roller bearings that are attached to the valve break up (and have to go somewhere Shocked )

2nd'ly, it wont help prevent water ingress into the electric motor, causing the motor to seize

And 3rd'ly, if the valves are not open, the EGR cleaner will not pass through the EGR valve...
