I had my Audi A6 valeted years ago and I noticed a small amount of white fluid around the buttons on the MMI after ringing the valeter he admitted he had spilt shampoo on it, the whole thing was kaput £900 for a new one, agreed £600 cash from the valeter as my company paid for the fix.

As Ady says - test the battery. If the valet chap has left the doors open for along time and the battery was marginal already e.g. original battery on its last legs, then it may now be beyond help. Poor battery condition and/or failing alternator can cause a number of odd errors/failures. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
