22 inch tyre pressure?

Hi guys

What's the best tyre pressure to put in a set of 22inch stormer alloys, tyre size 285/35R22?

Thanks

WHY ! 4psi more than the door card says.. has it suddenly got heaver. I run my 22" at the same preasure as recomended, about 35 to 36psi. it doesn't matter about the tyre size it's what it says per square inch. 40+ makes it to harsh. Martyn

Have you checked with the tyre manufacturer? Sometimes their websites have tyre pressure info (Vredestein does, for example).

I'd start with the pressure on the door card and see how they wear. Running them too high is nearly as bad as running them low.

The problem, of course, is that there is no homologated 22inch for the RRS so you're a bit on your own really. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Stock pressure according to who?
Door card only has stock pressure for 19/20s

I pushed mine to 42/44 and fear I've damaged one (see other thread about bulge)
Gonna bring back down to 40 I think 07 TDV8 + BAS map

Who ? Landrover and Overfinch, thats who.
Regardless of the wheel or tyre size, they all run the stock pressures.
Thats why your's are damaged, you would be wise to drop them even more to prevent further damage. 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

I run my 22s 285 Toyos at 35f and 37r not harsh good feel and good grip, the ride with 42 and 44 must be hard and the steering very light, i would have thought border line dangerous It's no wonder it's damaged the tyre. Martyn

If you search on here, ppl claim to have spoken with overfinch and been advised stock + 4psi. So unless they're mistaken eveb at overfinch it depends who you speak to it seems.

Wrt different sizes, the doorcard itself gives you different pressures for different wheel sizes and tyre combination. So I struggle to understand those that say wheel size doesn't matter. Don't get me wrong I'm not rejecting the idea, rather I want to understand it better. 07 TDV8 + BAS map

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

Just fitted my 22's yesterday, picked up wheels and tyres and the tyre guy told me they have to be run on 50psi!

Hes got 30years in the indie tyre business running his own shop and specialises in large wheel tyre combinations and well known in the pro drifting scene.... Was quite shocked by his recommendation having never pumped a tyre past 40 psi.

My tyres are 295 30 22 Why?.. Because i can....
