No TDV8 at the moment, is it due, as well as a hybrid diesel and 4 cyl petrol. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support! |

Having a quick play with the configurator. Seems that if you want to take the thing off road or do any serious towing, you need to buy the £62k Dynamic. The Basic SE doesn't appear to have the option of the low range box. You'd think that most people who wanted a Sport that they could use off road would be looking at the more basic level rather than the more expensive versions.

I tried to spec a similar car to my current HSE and I recon that when I add on things that the current one has that are options on the new one, but 'like for like' I recon it's up by about £5k.

I spec'd up an Autobiography and it came to £83k, ouch. I'd expect a V8 diesel for that money |

@Mad Ferret: I specced up a 4.4TDV8 FFRR with the toys I'd want and it came to £89k. For £5k more I'd just go with the real Range Rover if I was in the market to spend that sort of money.

Looking at the figures, the new RRS has better approach, ramp and departure angles than the current version. Standard road height is only 14mm less than off road height in the current version and the off road height is 50mm more than the current version's. That, along with a wading depth of 850mm is good news for those who like a bit of offroading.

My calculations seem to agree, about 5K more for a comparative HSE spec.
