yes thanks for sure, i suppose though i could try and benefit from this, in that dealers are only too aware of the price dent on the latest "old shape" vehicles - very few people are going to pay north of £45-47k for an old shape car now so the choice is broad. It is going to be 18 months before the sensibly specced RRS2's are at my price point (c.£45k) - at which point a 2012 RRS might still be worth £32k ish? i have resigned myself to the fact that if you can keep depreciation to about £6k a year you're doing pretty well on new ish stuff...

i'm considering a RRS for my next car, now the new one on show, I think there will be some good deals coming around, but i can't get my head round will the old one prices drop like a stone somewhere near in the future, and if i buy now, that not good for me, but buy then it might be albeit i have the old shape |

If its not available until late Qtr 3/Qtr 4 I think it will take a while to be massively available (remember the evoke), so i can see June 2014 being reasonable to see them in any easy option - possibly August/Sep 14.

I think you have to remember that not everybody can afford the 60K+ for a decent spec. new shape, hence there will be a lot of people who are looking at the 2012/13 and earlier models because that's the one they can afford. This happens a lot, it happened with the Nissan GT-R due to the new model having a significant price hike the older cars values firmed up. Look at Ferrari 430 values rock solid because there's nothing south of £200K for a new 458. Says him with Sep 2012 car ![]() |

The people prepared to spend £45K on a used HSE Luxury, and those wanting the latest model with the equivalent spec of the used model are likely to be two very different people (i.e. one has £20K+ more in their back pocket!), so the prices of the used ones shouldn't be adversely affected.
