M25 blocked again

Just heard on the news that helicopters are doing drinking water drops to drivers and passengers stuck in some mega blockage on both carriageways of the M25 due to a lorry fire on the Leatherhead section ..................... don't know how hot it is down there but in my sheltered back garden it is 32C at the moment and more than 55C (off the top of the thermometer scale) in my greenhouse, At least we have plenty of water so I can hose down the cars to cool them off! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I had a helicopter over us all last night - loads of police searching our woods. A man had been missing for a nearby house since 8am yesterday and he has been found today at 3.00pm still alive but only just! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

We really are the most pathetic country in the world!

When it's hot - the country goes mad
When it snows - the country grinds to a halt
When it's Autumn - the trains stop due to leaves on the line

This is why we're so crap at skiing in the Winter Olympics.

The Austrians/Germans/Italians/Swiss - GO! They're off down the slopes

The British - Go! - Oooh, be careful. Looks a bit slippy. Get the grit out you could do yourself a mischief on that.... Rolling Eyes Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Look at http://195.188.249.61/map/browse.cgi?X=550...hk=checked

Looks like not a happy day there! Boy do I miss the M25 (not a lot!). Original fire at 10am,, long day in the SE.

Isn't nice not to have to live in the SE! Traffic snarled up, no water, millions of sweety commuters packing the trains, property nobody can afford to buy..................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I did 7 years commuting by train from Braintree to Lverpool Street, will not get on a train again unless no other way of getting there. Roasted in Summer & frozen in winter, crammed in like cattle & always late. Glad now just have 19 mile drive into Cardiff if not studenting from home Thumbs Up . It's a tough life and I can still hose the hosepipe! Whistle

I was down that way for a couple of days this week on business.

On the drive from Gatwick to Rochester on Wednesday morning I sailed past a hideous snarl-up on the west-bound M25.

On the drive back to Gatwick Thursday afternoon I sailed past an even bigger snarl-up on the east-bound M25.

I'm glad it worked out that way Laughing

Having to put up with that on a regular basis would drive me nuts Banging Head Bill
