Adaptive headlights.

Is there any way to tell if these work? I have the AHL but they do not seem to do anything, when i turn around corners the corner lights come on , but i have not noticed any other function. TIA. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Park up 2-2.5m from a wall/ garage door put the lights on and they should do a little "dance" as they go through the self check/ self level. It starts with the lights pointing down a little then they the beams raise and swivel out and up, it's not a huge change so watch carefully. It's a while since I had my TDv8 with them so I'm not sure if there isn't a warning light on the dash that comes on if they are malfunctioning, I'm sure when I had mine modified by Hawke to have the LEDs in the m I had a warning light showing for the few days I was without the adaptives and running on the loaner set of non adaptives they lent me 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Mine don't always do the Mr. Bean eyes dance at start up.

If you look carefully when driving along you should see a slight widening or narrowing of the projection on the ground or on a wall when turning the wheel. '08 RRS TDV8

^^^ what Tim said

I had to do this too, as I was unsure if they were working, if begs the question that if they are so unnoticeable, is there any point in having them in the first place?

Mine don't always do the "dance". I do notice the lights swivelling when drving along country lanes - I think they are speed sensitive so you need to check the manual for the speed range they work.

I have had a couple of "moments" where the fixed corner light has come on near a junction as the road is slightly wiggly. The other driver has seen it and assumed I'm indicating. Compared to the headlights, the standard bulb is quite yellow so perhaps looks like a malfunctioning indicator. I'm thinking of replacing the bulb with an LED one in order to get an obviously white light. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
