GPS app - Waze

Hi all,
I have just been visiting my friends in Latvia and I learned about a great navigation app named Waze. Basically it is a navigation app for smart phones - but with a twist to it. It is more like a social network. The way it works is as follows - you use the system and you enter any traffic related events to it as you go. So say, you are stuck in the traffic, so you enter that into the system and others who use the app can see your update and the system re-routes other people around the road with heavy traffic. It is by far the best navigation app I have used. I have been using it for 2 days and it works amazingly well. It takes you through any road/street where one is allowed to drive. Unlike the LR navigation system it also updates live with all the traffic events/conditions.
This is by no means an advertisement of the app and I'm in no way related/familiar with the creators. It is for free. The only problem with it is that it uses a lot of battery, so needs to be charged while using it. And I do not really like the fact to have my mobile phone attached with the cable to the windscreen or any other places in the car. RRS is a wonderful car and the cables make it look a bit odd. But since it is really that good, I don't mind using it every now and then. For example I travelled from Gatwick to chelsea and at 6pm and I did not get stuck anywhere on the way home. It took me around the busy roads. As I say, try it out - it is for free. I think it works anywhere in Europe. Vadim A.

Trust me, RRS SatNav is nowhere near in comparison to Waze. What I meant by updates live was as soon as one user enters say he is stuck in the traffic all other users can see it sand the app reroutes them accordingly. They have 700 feed backs on App Store and 5 stars quality. I don't think it's meant to track your location. You can have any kind of username and obviously you never enter any kind of personal details let alone the make of your car.

RRS SatNav never takes you along small streets, it just uses the main roads mostly. This app however uses all available streets/roads to get our around as quickly as possible. Vadim A.
