I have just heard from a Disco member who bought a demo d4 from a Lr dealer and just been for first service - he has been informed it has been chipped and warranty now void

Selling dealer denies they did it and he certainly hasn't - what a nightmare

Anybody got any advice for him  Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Presumably the Disco buyer bought the car with from the LR franchise with the "remaining warranty intact" or within the LR Approved Scheme, this would become a condition of sale.

Consequently the vehicle does not match the terms of the sale: the sale is therefore void and the buyer is entitled to his money back.

Just had an update

After discussing problem with selling dealer and servicing dealer the issue appears to be the black box in the glovebox........ conected to the blackvue camera

In other words the nationwide dealer that rhymes with pratt and bones have invalidated his warranty because he has a POWER magic for his camera that they think boosts the engine

I'm so glad my car is now out of warranty, these types of issues can NEVER happen to me.
