United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I think LR will make the expensive stuff in the UK and the cheaper stuff elsewhere in order to keep profits. The expensive stuff will probably continue to be unreliable and thus an insult. But people will keep buying it because of the name - that's why the Evoque is a "Range Rover" and not a "Land Rover".

I think LR will end up getting greedy and will just price themselves to death. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I read that the new sports would cost 10% more than the current models

I for one if the next RRS moves into the £60k plus bracket will look elsewhere & I've had more LR products than most!

This is also my problem. 8 LR products, most new purchases, since 1996 but this one could well be my last as they are pricing themselves out of the market for private buyers. Jaguars are going the same way - Autocar test the new Sportbrake with the 2.2TD, it costs £55000 in the Portfolio trim they tested. How can that be justified? The new F type too starts at £55000 yet it has so many bits taken from the Evoque parts bins as does the new FFRR.

England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Alaska White

I went from f/l- ffrr- rrs- rrs tdv8- rrs 2010- evoque- rrs 2008. I am glad I am back in a sport even though it is 5 years old. ( I do have 2 more cars) a low mileage 3 year old rrs is great value, any new car is pi**ing money up the wall. In america people customize even brand new cars not only older ones. In uk we are too concerned about what others think!! about the age of our cars. trust me I have had more problems with Audi Porsche and Aston Martin not to mention depreciation Thumbs Up RR SPORT is a great vehicle better the Twisted Evil you know Very Happy Very Happy RANGE ROVER SPORT 2008

I was told to expect a price placement of between £58k & 60k for entry level on the new RRS. It remains
to be seen if this is correct but, if it is I think they are making a big mistake. Initially they will continue to sell well but I think, like others have said, they are in danger of pricing themselves out of their core market. Especially if the quality doesn't improve. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby)

GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010)
GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007)
GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black

HSE is £57k retail, so if its 58 to 60 for that then it's in line broadly...I agree they shouldn't go too high Mike

From past experience Lr have pushed prices up considerably on new models citing improvements and technology costs Sad

I went from a D2 metropolis to a Fl2 because the D3 prices were a step too far IMHO Embarassed

Eventually people accept it by the time the "must have the latest model" rush is over and the cycle continues Rolling Eyes

I have considered running my current RRS into the ground then replacing it if the reliability was better because it meets my needs and I gulp when I see how much depreciation I have lost over the years. Doh - that's why they keep breaking down - so I will change it Banging Head Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
