the spec of the black edition has nearly everything you could really need in a new car,,my thinking is that the "2014" car will not be as specced as the black and will undoubtedly be much more expensive

before i bought mine i looked up the spy shots and decided that the current one looks more like what a range rover sport should be and not like a pumped up freelander as what is coming out

IMHO I don't like te rounded shape of the new one and I prefer the shape of the current model number 2013 13.5 MY HSE BLACK with privacy glass, vision assist pack, side steps and ebony headlining

I don't think anyone is slating or slagging the "black" as such, more questioning how it is any different to any other RRS given that it look pretty much identical to any other RRS, bar that jazzy badge.

I wouldn't say that it is people that cannot afford one that are slating or slagging it, as with the deals that JLR are knocking out they are within reach of plenty of people. I would imagine people that choose to not buy a black will be deciding based on either the depreciation factor of buying a car brand new, waiting for the new model, or prefer buying out right second hand rather than on the drip.

Previous comments were all said light heartedly and meant as a bit of forum banter! I’d like to apologise to anybody that may have been offended with previous comments on this thread! This is a great place to be, I have the upmost respect for anybody who owns one of these cars and certainly don’t want to appear to be slating or singling out anybody for whatever reason.
I put the link up for everybody to see what the Black edition looked like and the spec of the car (which I happen to think is very impressive) as there seemed to be some confusion amongst us regarding this. It was not intended in any way for ridicule

i just bought a new black edition with 20% discount and i think its a brilliant spec and really because of the price dont feel i should worry about the depreciation as this will be on the whole sport range across the spectrum and not just the black edition.
my plan is to have this one for a year or two then if i like the new edition get the same discount and then trade against it with hopefully only paying around 10 k every 2 years to keep me in a new motor.
hopefulloy this will work out and keep the mrs happy....although i do have to say never ever again with the same dealer.
