Hi, nice choice of cars to pick from, if it was my money it would be the AMG every time, I'm sure the BMW is a stunning & capable car but I couldn't see past the AMG if I had the choice, just my 2p worth

As usual I done it ar** backwards. Had succession of AMG's starting with C36, which was a great car then two C32 which were about the same build quality as LR, E55 estate which was great apart from a clonk from rear that couldn't be resolved and the a SL55 which was pants. Proper hairdresser car.

The reason I didnt look at the m6 is the price, with any options, it is already at 117,000.00 also, it does not come with the 4 wheel drive that I need in chicago Current:

I'm visiting my parents in the Middle East at the moment and have been using their ML63 AMG for a couple of months. I'd go for the AMG every time based on exhaust note alone. Personally, I think the CLS is a much better looking car than the BMW, particularly in AMG form. I would caution you that it's very difficult not to have a heavy right foot with the AMG and that has a noticeable effect on fuel consumption (I think I managed to get it down to 6mpg at one point. Not an issue when fuel is £0.16/litre (about $0.7/gallon) but a definite consideration in the real world. May also be worth bearing in mind that compared to the 650i, the AMG is the tuned version of the CLS which brings about more expensive/more frequent service intervals. |
