Has happened once in the time I've had my MY12 car. An engine restart cured it and it's not returned since. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Mine never came on this morning and done over 250mls of stop and start journeys today and still nothing, radio is working and you get the beep when you touch the screen but screen is blank. Will try again in the morning and maybe try to disconnect the battery and reboot the system..... Dave.

Might be screwed then. I would call in at a dealer tomorrow, might be a quick reflash while you wait Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |

I assume that with no continuing post the problem resolved? I only ask as the screen in the MY12 loaner I have been given has done exactly this today. I too shall see what it is like in the morning... |

If it happens again, take a video of it with your phone so you can show the dealer the fault in action thus proving that the car is up and running but with no sat nav display, hopefully getting rid of the "sorry we couldn't replicate the fault" excuse. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

As suggested, after an overnight power down the screen is back to normal.

It's probably happened about 3 or 4 times in 3 years with mine. Always resolved with a restart. I have also noticed on occassion that it can just take a while for the screen to "come to life" but eventually after about 2 mins it comes up fine. Happens very occasionally though. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
