Debadging bonnet letters for name? easy?

Hi,

Im new to this forum. Its for my wifes rangey sport (which im gonna drive at times )

She wants the front lettering (range rover) taken off and put 'K A T I E ' on.

Dont ask why. Its to do with her private reg crap. And also as long as she doesn't spray the car pink im ok with it.

Do you guys know a good way to remove the lettering. Without damaging (scratches) and anywhere to find range Rovrr style letters?

Thanks
Brian

Heat them with a hair dryer, then cut them off with dental floss or fishing line, then polish off the glue with white spirit or t cut.
Failing that get rid of the wife Wink

Just tell her it can't be done as the letters are welded to the bonnet Laughing And how would she ever sell a Range Rover Sport with the name Katie on the front ?
Welcome to the site. Thumbs Up

Cheers pal will look it up and give it a go taking the existing ones off. As long as I can get them off properly and align the new ones properly so they look like they have not been fitted by me

Mask off the top and bottom of the letters. To get your line. Remove the old ones. Line up your middle letter with the middle of the grille (easy to do by counting the holes) and work outward a both sides. Easy!

To be honest I don't mind as most people should/will know that my name is NOT katie!
Besides I own a x5, is it safe to say i prefer the Drive of a RRS! Well better not say that as I still have the x5 but it might n end up on auto trader soon
