OK so I knew an RRS would be pricey as a company car......I have been used to paying around £800 a month company car tax, until I just recently got told I hadn't been paying enough, got a big lump of a bill and a new tax code.

It is far cheaper to get a cash allowance than paying the company car tax on these. Bodsys Brake Bible

Why not buy a sport for your own use, and then bill your company for your mileage, i know this won't cover the cost of running a sport but you will still have a sport and you could surrender you fuel receipts to help recoup your running costs. For what you are paying in tax you could buy a sport. |

I get a modest car allowance & pay the lease on my car - in company name but I pay leasing - that costs only £850 a month !

Can't comment on wedding costs but I opted out and bought my RRS using my cash allowance and also the BIK tax I'm no longer paying on my FL2 that was the company car before. Dumb maaths but effectively for about 100 quid more of my own money I run a RRS compared to having £300 in my pocket and driving a Golf and being bored to death.
