Well Beancounter, I thought it looked like they have solved them by attaching a Disco!

Thought you were not allowed to tow a 4wd. MY11 Autobiography supercharged. Santorini Black. Monaco interior. Rear screens. Privacy.

Afaik, yo can't tow with the front wheels off the ground like the aa recovery trucks, as the front wheels will want to turn as well. Cheers Dave MY10 TDV6 SE (debadged ![]() Gone: a comprehensive list of imprezas and a Merc ML AMG |

I guess it must be the camo but it looks very small compared to the Disco |

You can tow a 4x4 slowly and over short distance if auto as the oil pump is driven by input shaft. . You can't as pointed out use a wheel free method unless you want a pile of swarf in the bottom of your transfer box that used to be your gears. As far as the new car goes, it doesn't look right but then it is a shrunk down version of the new Full Fat. The Evoque is a Freelander not Range Rover! Should be banned under trade discriptions!!!! |

Let's not forget that the RRS is not a Range Rover - it's a Land Rover with borrowed badges. Let's not get too snooty here guys... ![]() And the Freelander is a Mondeo. Ok, it's very loosely based on the same platform as the Mondeo, S-Max/Galaxy and Volvo S80 but it's got the DNA in there. It's funny how stuff goes around. The first Disco was based on the then-current RR (the running gear and chassis are the same - the rear bumper of the D1 is the rear cross member of the RR effectively). The second Disco got some of it's own underpinnings (some even had no centre diff lock, bizarrely). The RRS is a D3 in a fashion outfit. The new RRS will be FFRR-based. Presumably the D5 (if it happens) will also be FFRR-based too. What a merry dance! ![]() 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Certainly the indicator/wiper switches. Funny was in a mk1 disco the other day and switches/dash scream Montego/Meastro |
