Cheap tyres - yes really!!

Had a result this weekend and thought I'd share - Micheldever Station Hampshire tyre depot - new Pirelli Scorpion 275's for£200 a corner all in + £2 for Nitrogen. Be prepared to wait a while when you get there, but a really good set up and great prices if you haggle a tad. Maybe not much use if you live in Edinburgh, but worth the drive if you're within a couple of hours. Can't recommend them enough. Hope this is useful to someone. Thanks - Morty

Save yourself the £2 and don't both with nitrogen - it's utterly pointless. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Given the air we breath is 78% nitrogen and 20% oxygen I would suggest you are paying a lot of money for that extra 22%! '10 Range Rover Sport TDV8

Hi guys,

How would you rate the Kumho tyres???

I just bought my MY10 3.0tdv6 from a main RR dealership and it came with new skins--i was a bit unhappy that they had fitted a non premium brand but then didn't make a scene because they don't last for ever and with my annual mileage they will only last 12 months max

What do you think of them-?? are they junk or should i stick with them and change to something else when they wear out?

Thanks in advance

I've used Kumho tyres for the last few years on everything but my performance vehicles (only Continentals) and I would say they are as good, if not better than some so called 'premium' brands.

I've not used Kumho on the RRS, but put a set on my wife's 500 Abarth, if you look on a site such as blackcircles, there are now new independent tests done to make it easier for customers to decide what they need. Kumho beat the Pirelli zeros that were on it in just about every sector . They put a huge amount of effort into R and D, and are widely respected in Motorsport circles. We tend to be a bit snobby about tyre brands in the UK, but there is no need to be with kumhos
