Im with you - i hate diamond turned or painted wheels...

My point was the bottom of my range rover is silver and appears silver on photos i have - its not overtly when you look at it, but its not black...its the cover over the towing eye. More bling than black, less than the body kit chrome...does that make sense? not noticed it until i looked at the photos of it...is yours actually black? Mike

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

I am pretty sure that the silver lower splitter was only available on the supercharged. I think they use it on the website as it stands out better in photos. The website will no doubt have a disclaimer saying that they reserve the right to change......
My stormer wheels had the black landrover emblem on it when all other LR products had green ones, my HSE alloys have the rangerover centres. Doesn't bother me at all.
Love the dark blue, best one I've seen had ivory interior, looks really classy in that combo
Cheers

Hi Chaps,

1. Interior is Ebony. Too much muck & stuff around here to have cream, plus I'm building a 1/2 size traction engine so regularly get in the truck filthy - not good on cream leather!!

2. Front photo attached - lower front cover is sort of a gun-metal colour, definately NOT silver.

Are you sure it doesn't have a protective film on it till its PDI might explain the difference in colour

Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Luxury Fuji White

just been out to check mine,,its definately a gunmetal/charcoal painted finish, and not plastic like the lower sills
we've got ours booked in to get the black plastic sills etc colourcoded all around,,,i wonder if that panel would look out of place if it was painted white like the rest of the car??
i too have the black landrover wheel centres

on another note we were on an 800 mile roundtrip,we sat at 73mph with cruise on and got an indicated 35.2mpg over the first 400 miles, which was really 32.1mpg when calculated properly,,,,on the return journey(using my private testrack) we sat at 83mph and the car indicated 29.1mpg,,,not bad i thought 2013.5 rrs black edition in white here now

Mike, at that speed, does the car sit down on its hunkers? I've heard it goes into access mode, at 15mph it's pretty jiggly any better at speed?
Cheers

I think ill stick with what i said - its just how the image is formed and that the gunmetal does give a silver look against the black, not the chrome look

And then what everyone else says about the disclaimer etc Mike

my wife took a photo at 120 but it was dark and turned out blurred - cant say we noticed it sit down (they should and it probably did) but not to access as i understand its a little higher - half way perhaps.

Also we found dynamic was ace on the autobhan - it was perfectly stable and comfortable throughout without dynamic, it just made it that much better it felt

One final comment - as a tourer its brilliant, minus the ferry we drove almost 11hrs none stop and arrived perfectly fine both ways Mike
