United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I'm not surprised that the dealership came up with excuses - it's not unusual to protect an employee in public and Censored them in private. Of course they should have made the right noises to the customer to show their contrition without necessarily agreeing publically that said employee was a prat. And then royally Censored the employee once the customer had left with a free service in his pocket.

If the service manager is just a tech that has climbed the greasy pole then he probably hasn't figured out how to create that balance between public and private faces. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

You have mentioned Saxton- that is interesting as I bought my car from them in October and not impressed from day 1

Car was supposed to be ready the day we arrived back from holiday so with only 4 hours sleep over 36 hours we drove down to collect it
Car not ready as found a slow puncture
Went and had lunch in pub opposite and then returned - not a puncture now but needs a new tyre so went for a drive to kill some time
Got a call then to tell us the Brand new Overfinch wheel had a crack so has to be replaced so we then drove back home very grumpy
They delivered car next day and we paid balance due- no rear parcel shelf cover?

They did post new cover after several calls

Then we had one headlight now working but it has a fresh MOT? How come
Spooked to them and they said car was fine when left there site.
Took headlight out and guess what, the ballast was missing so how could the light have been working and get an MOT
I spoke with the service manager who tried several excuses and the sent me a new ballast - Thais did work either

Drove car back to them and got headlight changed and asked if they would cover my fuel costs on a 150 mile round trip
They put in 12 litres

Service book also incorrect so had to get that updated

I would not buy another car from them or recommend them

Any one else what bad experience with them “One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”

^^^ Not had dealing with them myself, but know others that have and not just RRs/FFRR's, not one of them would convince me to use them and they used to only be about 5 miles from my house.
Apparently they make a lot of their money leasing cars to film shoots etc, so buying/selling/customer service might not be their top priority Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

The police may not comment if they are investigating, but it's probably difficult to prosecute with no calibrated evidence Mike

I believe a tracker works out the speed via GPS, so surely that would be enough evidence, as the OP had a email with the full jorney time and speed ? 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

Firstly GPS does not provide an accurate speed, Secondly the evidence provided by the system wouldnt be good enough anyway for a number of reasons and thirdly the system is not a calibrated, approved and independent system (think about the rules around speed cameras and speed guns) nor did a police officer observe the offence so all in there wont be the evidence.

Most private/commerical CCTV cameras aren't good enough to prosecute on their own Mike
