Will a UK cluster fit a USA car?

What I have found is that the cluster in my RRS is faulty.
I need to change it and was wondering if one from a UK car will fit.
Doe sit matter what kind of engine is in the car?
The car is a 2006 91 BMW 850CSI

Fatandre.

With "Cluster" do You mean the Instrument Cluster?

If so, it´s not just to change with another used one..
The Cluster have a "write once" chip in it, that must
be loaded with the CCF (CarConfigurationFile), in order
to work properly. So You´ll need a new one, and
when You need a new one, best to get the right one for the car.

If You just change to any used,I guess that You will end up with a
neverending loop..
Have a friend that have had the Instrument Cluster
changed incorrectly, the car starts every day with the
same odometer reading it had when the cluster was changed.

Yes, I am talking about the instrumental cluster because I have been having one problem.
Rather often when I get into the car the temp sens is in the middle and when it warms up it goes up to the red but it does not overheat.
When I turn the car off it falls down to the middle.
It is not often that it falls down to the bottom and then I start the car up and it gets to the middle
I turn it again of and it stays in the middle.
My mechanic said it is the instrumental cluster, but I am not sure. What do you think?
I have disconnected the batteries and when I did it was still in the middle. 91 BMW 850CSI
