Loud sound coming from the suspension compressor I think.
Is it common?
Its rather annoying. Any ideas? 91 BMW 850CSI

There is a noticeable noise when the compressor is working but it's not too loud and stops when the reservoir is full. When my car came back from the dealer after a compressor/relay replacement a while back, the new compressor was making a lot of rattling noise so I returned the car to them. Turned out they hadn't mounted the compressor properly first time round Rolling Eyes

Yours could be something similar like brackets getting loose for example. Is the compressor doing its job OK?
